0 comments Article, Nov 07, 2012

In a press release distributed by her campaign at midnight last night, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) said “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue fighting for our economic revitalization, the protection of the federal health care funds for our 9/11 heroes and against attempts to turn back the clock on women’s rights."

Congresswoman Maloney also referenced  the recent opening of the Floating Hospital clinic at Queensbridge Houses, improving Queens Plaza, cleanup of Newtown Creek and bringing the Cornell Technion Applied Science School to Roosevelt Island.

The Congresswoman also remains dedicated to expanding ferry service along the East River, building a hi tech incubator in western Queens, shoring up the Queens Seawall and working to secure additional federal funding for Zone 126’s project to vastly improve services so children at Astoria Houses and elsewhere in the community will do well in school.

Finally, Congresswoman Maloney said she "cannot wait to return to Washington to serve with President Obama for another four years and with our newest Senator-Elect Elizabeth Warren!”
