Tweeting The Flushing Line’s Trials & Tribulations

To The Editor:

At first, I was quite surprised by the lack of a concrete agenda for Jimmy Van Bramer's Transportation Town Hall.  It seemed really like another opportunity for people to just come out and gripe.  Then, I was livid when I found out the night before that the meeting was to give people a chance to discuss 11 weekends of [#7 train] service interruptions.  Obviously people involved in the meeting knew what was going to happen, but it was like they were afraid to tell anyone!

When I got to thinking about it, I realized that in this day and age with e-mail, Twitter, texting and maybe live streaming in the future, advance notice may no longer be necessary.  I went to the meeting anyway and I'm glad I did.  Next time I know I have a choice--I can stay at home and know my questions will be answered or I can show up and get the full experience.

Thank you for the choice!
