A dynamic performing arts center right in LIC. LPAC commissions original works of art, enables emerging and mid-career artists to use space for rehearsals and productions and helps train LaGuardia Community College's Theater program majors. There is a 220-seat Little Theater and a 740-seat Main Stage which together host 500 productions a year. Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $10 for students. The Fall season starts in October and the Winter season begins in January. Steven Hitt, LPAC's managing director, invites LIC to "come see us, come play with us."

Long Island City Kids is a Children Enrichment Center enrolling children from many areas of Queens and mid-Manhattan. They provide physical, intellectual and socially enriching experience for all kids. They offer creative and innovative classes for babies, toddlers and children in music, gym, art, ballet, creative dance, chess, martial arts. They also offer a pre-school for 2-4 year olds, an after-school program for 3-10 year olds, swimming camps and birthday parties.
