    SPACE WOMb, founded in 2009 in Long Island City, is a contemporary art gallery that exhibits abstract works of emerging and established artists from around the world.  The gallery's primary goal is to bring different perspectivess to the audience while helping to develop artists' careers.  The gallery also aims to connect and share artists works with international art institutions.  SPACE WOMb also offers art classes.

    Coffee's the allure here along with a room for people who want to hang with their computers.  Teas are sold too and Jacques Torres hot chocolate, but Stumptown and Verve are the draw.  Sweetleaf now has a full-time baker who turns out cookies, muffins, cakes, pies and scones.  They are located right at the B62 bus stop at the foot of the Pulaski Bridge--what a location!

    TESTACCIO is a section of Rome. In opening the restaurant, the owners hoped to recreate that area here in LIC and they scored a home run.  Testaccio combines authentic Roman Cuisine with favorite traditional home made Italian menu items. The pizza oven was especially made just for pizzas and it is wood burning. Thursday night it's all you can eat Porchetta (roasted pig).

    Established in 1977, Thalia is the first and only bilingual Hispanic theatre in Queens. "Every month is Hispanic Heritage Month at Thalia Spanish Theatre."  In 32 years Thalia has produced more than 150 productions of the best Spanish plays, zarzuelas (Spanish operettas) and folklore shows of music and dance, and earned national recognition as a leader in New York City’s celebrated Spanish theatre movement.

    The OBIE Awarding-winning Chocolate Factory Theater prides its spirit of experimentation and the process of creation.  It is also an incubator for experimental performance.  The work of The Chocolate Factory's founding artists emphasizes multi-disciplinary collaboration combining movement, music, video and text that is highly visual and dependent on new technologies.
